Pringsewu, Jbnindonesia.com – In commemoration of the upcoming 79th Bhayangkara Day, the Pringsewu Police held a memorial and flower-laying ceremony at the Purna Yudha Bakti Public Cemetery (TPU) in Pekon Keputran, Sukoharjo District, on Monday (June 23, 2025).
The ceremony was led directly by Pringsewu Police Chief AKBP M. Yunnus Saputra and attended by the Deputy Police Chief, senior officers, sector police chiefs (Kapolsek), and members of the Pringsewu Police force.
The atmosphere was solemn. All participants bowed their heads in silence during the moment of respect for the fallen heroes.
After the wreath was laid at the memorial, officers took turns scattering flower petals at the gravesites of deceased police officers. Members of Bhayangkari and other personnel were seen participating in the flower-laying ritual.
According to AKBP Yunnus, this activity is part of the police tradition in commemorating Bhayangkara Day.
“The spirit of the heroes who have fallen must be our inspiration to continue providing the best service to the community, enforcing the law, and maintaining security and public order in the Pringsewu Police jurisdiction,” said Yunnus to reporters.
He emphasized that the ceremony was not just a routine ritual but a moment of reflection and reminder of the duty to carry forward the legacy of devotion and service.
“We want this Bhayangkara Day to be a moment that strengthens our commitment to ensuring the police continue to be protectors, guardians, and public servants who are professional, humane, and trusted by the people,” he added.
The memorial event is part of a series of activities organized by the Pringsewu Police in celebration of Bhayangkara Day. More public service and social outreach programs are scheduled in the lead-up to July 1. ( Davit )
